Serving in Love
The week coming into one of DPM’s Unified Couple’s Getaway is full of all kinds of emotions. Each of us are excited yet wondering if we are forgetting anything…it has happened. The week begins in a buzz for sure. As the week progresses, though, wonderment at the opportunity the Lord has given us to share beautiful truths from His word with the couples that will be joining us overtakes our hearts. Peace washes over us as we pray for each person who will be with us during the weekend. This path of emotions happens every time we get ready for a Getaway. I can’t tell you how much we are blessed as we pour blessings out on everyone else. This is service. It has taken many years to just begin to understand what service is. It is not about me; it is all about Him. We at DPM try to follow Jesus’s example of service when He washed the disciple’s feet. Service, not because no one else was doing it, but because Love in the person of Jesus has touched us and because we genuinely love each couple that will be joining us during the weekend. Thank You, Jesus for allowing us to join You in Your work.
Blessings to you all from all of us at DPM as we prepare for yet another Unified Couple’s Getaway.

John 13:1 & 12-17
It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
