Dwelling Place Inc. was originally founded by Fred Doehle in 2012. He and his wife, Kirsten, had a desire to reach marriages with truth from God's Word. They felt this was a way to enable couples to withstand the draw of a culture that considers marriage to be a temporary agreement.

After five years of successful retreats, Fred and his wife Kirsten prayerfully determined that Dwelling Place Inc. needed to expand and deepen to reach many more couples.  Knowing that God would answer all their prayers, they were excited He brought David and Michelle to join this ministry. As a team, Dwelling Place went through some time of tweaking and Dwelling Place Ministries, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) was born.

On our knees again in prayer for direction, God led us once again to grow in ministry. David and Michelle began reaching couples in the area of Coronado, Ca in 2022, expanding Dwelling Place Ministries to new regions. Our entire team was overjoyed as the Lord brought Ricky and Christanna Grimm to join the PNW arm of Dwelling Place Ministries. We welcome our newest addition to the Dwelling Place staff, Nick, who has joined us as our chef. We have loved watching the Lord grow us and this ministry over the years. We are humbled by His goodness.

Our desire is to equip couples with tools designed to strengthen their marriages.  We do this through Unified Getaways that are fun; loaded with times of growing and times of rest that healthy marriages need.

Holding a Master of Arts and Religion in Counseling and a Master of Human Services, Fred leads our Couples Coaching division of Dwelling Place. 

​

We are certified SYMBIS facilitators and use this format as part of our Pre-marital coaching we lovingly call Unified Beginnings.

 

Having been certified to teach Financial Peace University, we now offer Financial Peace University classes.
